As a volunteer for the Council on Aging of West Florida, Judy Allen knows what it’s like to go into a warm home on an unbearably hot summer afternoon.
“I’ve encountered a lot of those situations visiting clients,” Allen said. “But sometimes they don’t feel as warm as I am, so you suffer through it. But as the heat increases, they feel it more.”
Allen was under a tent Friday morning with fellow volunteer Carlette Howell.
