Bear sightings have become more common, and it isn’t just people thinking they are seeing bears visible to the public more than ever before. The odds are as good as they
have ever been in the last 100 years.
“As both the human and bear populations continue to increase in Florida, there are more opportunities for interactions than in previous decades,” said Bekah Nelson, a spokesperson for the FWC.
