Three different groups have been working hard to memorialize the 11 lives lost on the tragic night of March 10, 2015.
The Santa Rosa County Leadership Class 29 has been raising funds for a permanent memorial in Navarre Park.
Active-duty U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. Nathan Harris, who is attached to the Marine Raiders Battalion out of Camp Lejeune, has been organizing a Marine 770-mile Memorial Raider Ruck Mark from Navarre to Camp Lejeune. The Ruck March will commence after the memorial dedication in Navarre Park on Friday, March 11.
A small group of volunteers called “Remembering Black Hawk 11” have been raising funds to host the families for the events that start on March 9 and end on March 11.
