A variety of festivals, art, history lectures and even an old-fashioned country fair highlight the second full weekend of the 2015 Beaches to Woodlands Tour of Santa Rosa County.
“We have another great weekend on tap with several great festivals including two new ones to the tour – the Pinktoberfest at Navarre Beach and the Holley-Navarre Fire Prevention Festival,” said Karen Harrell, who has coordinated the tour for seven years. “We also have our Halloween-themed events kicking off with a new event – ‘Haunted Woods: Deadly Games’ in Bagdad.”
Highlights among returning events include The Blackwater (Munson) Heritage Festival, an event that takes visitors back in time in a scenic setting at Krul Lake; the St. Rose of Lima International Fall Festival; Depot Days at the West Florida Rail Museum; the annual Plein Arts Paint Out in Bagdad; Run for the Reef 5k, 10k and Kid’s One-Mile Fun Run at Navarre Beach and the Psychic Fair which has moved to Navarre this year.
