Trail would connect Tiger Point and Soundside

Santa Rosa County Commissioners May 28 approved the donation of two easements which will provide a corridor between Tiger Point subdivision and Soundside Drive. Officials are seeking state funding to construct a planned 1,100-foot long and 12-foot wide asphalt connector, providing a safer alternative to U.S. 98.

“The trail alignment proposed would connect Tiger Point at Madura Road, near the entrance to Bay Colony (subdivision) to Soundside Drive,” Kristen Shell, a senior urban planner for Santa Rosa County, said. “It traverses the northern most portion of the Soundside Preserve area and a common area owned by the Bay Colony Homeowners Association near Madura Road.”
