Bacio Martin is a 30-pound ball of energy. At 2-and-a-half years old, the beagle mix refuses to slow down, even after undergoing spinal cord surgery.
While playing with his favorite toy, a stuffed pig, Bacio let out a yelp, and his human, Brian Martin, said his two hind legs splayed out and his neck was arched.
“He was body was as stiff as a board,” Brian said.
It was around 9 p.m., so Brian and his wife, Dana, gave Bacio Tylenol with the hope that it would relieve some of his pain. But he cried through the night.
