The fall turkey hunting season is underway and little has changed from last year.
Tony Young, the media relations coordinator for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Division of Hunting and Game Management, said the length of the season and the bag limits are still the same.
“The daily bag limit of two is also the season limit for hunting on private property,” Young said. “We changed that last year. On Wildlife Management Areas, the limit is still one per day, but you usually can only hunt in those areas during archery season.”
The bow-only season began Oct. 24 and runs through Nov. 25. The same season applies to use of a crossbow, although hunters can also use a crossbow or bow Nov. 30-Dec. 4 as well.
