Jim Norton, former owner of Gulf Breeze Cinema 4, and a leader of the non-profit organization The Pensacola Film Festival, is bringing family focused movies to Navarre for the next few weeks under the auspices of Navarre Community Cinema. The features are shown every Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and the $5 admission covers free admission to the movie and a small popcorn and soda. Showings are at Henderson Hall, next to St. Augustine Church at 7810 Navarre Parkway.
This Saturday’s feature of Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, is rated PG.
“Navarre has grown a lot in the last ten years. We are just trying to give some entertainment where they don’t have anything like this,” said Norton. “I’m still a snowbird, so I go back and forth between Gulf Breeze and Wisconsin. So, we will see what happens in the next few weeks and if it is successful, we will do more when I come back next winter.”
The line-up of movies includes “Monster Hunt”, “The Peanuts Movie”, and “Kung Fu Panda 3”. More information can be found at www.pensacolacinemaart.com and anyone with any questions can email Norton at [email protected]
