Closer look at life as an FWC fisheries biologist

Eric Weather used to watch the televised adventures of Jacques Cousteau. It eventually led him to a career in fisheries research as a biologist with the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.

He’s now been in the career for nearly 20 years.

“I was originally drawn toward ocean exploration through (the show) and then later became an avid fisherman, fishing guide and SCUBA diver, at which point I was drawn specifically to fisheries research,” Weather said.
