Despite all of the technology available today, one of the most reliable forms of communication is actually one of the oldest – the two-way radio.
The Emerald Coast Amateur Radio Association, with support from the Navarre Community Emergency Team (CERT), hosted its annual Field Day June 27 and 28 at Navarre Beach Park.
The two-day event, sponsored by the American Radio Relay League – the national association for amateur radio – gave the public the opportunity to learn how amateur radios are used during natural disasters.
