With a new beach season set to begin, lifeguards will report to their stations March 14.
Navarre Beach Utilities Supervisor Terry Wallace said everything is ready to go for their arrival and the season will begin with six lifeguards. A total of 12 spots are available and Wallace said those should be filled once school is done for the year.
“We never start with a full staff,” Wallace said. “But by the time school gets out, we typically have all of the spots filled.”
