Traffic stop leads to marijuana bust

On Tuesday, Nov. 10 a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 98 at the Santa Rosa County South Annex on a car with an expired tag and inoperable tail lights.

According to the police report, when the deputy approached, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the driver’s side window. The driver, 18-year-old Zachary Arner, was asked if he had any illegal substances in the vehicle.
