Santa Rosa will have some fresh blood in government come November. Of the six contested Santa Rosa County government elected offices on the Aug. 18 primary ballot, all but one will be filled by a new face.
While several incumbents chose not to rerun this year, others were ousted by the voters after more than a decade in service. Roughly one in four eligibly voters cast a ballot in the Santa Rosa race, according to the Supervisor of Elections Office.
