Owner/Brokers Paul and Elizabeth (Beth) Brown started Holley Properties more than 30 years ago when Navarre looked completely different than it does now, back when it truly was “Florida’s Best Kept Secret.”
“We started with a typewriter and carbon paper in one rented room of an office space.” Beth said.
Fast forward more than 30 years and Holley Properties has assisted with more than 20,000 transactions in Santa Rosa and surrounding counties.
“I think our success really is partly due to the fact that, when we got here, there were only 63 homes in Holley by the Sea subdivision and only one occupied home on the golf course there,” Beth said.
“Florida has an abundance of natural beauty,” Paul said. “People are getting down here and all of a sudden they see something they’ve never seen before – 15 miles of beach with nothing developed on either side, a phenomenon that knocks them off their feet when they visit Navarre Beach.
“Navarre was under the radar,” he added, “but it’s popping now because of its natural resources.”
While the main focus is South Santa Rosa County, Holley Properties has worked with properties throughout Escambia to Bay counties, including the northern portions.
Beth says the market is ever-changing and there is always a new challenge coming along.
“As things change, and you have to grow and adjust,” she said. “As many people know, the real estate market is complex right now with an economy unlike ever before. Prices are rising, but interest rates are low. Inventory is also low because properties are selling quickly, and some sellers may be reluctant to sell.
“It may be hard for buyers to find a house in their ideal price range and often sellers go on to be buyers which adds to the competition for inventory,” she added. “Holley Properties is here to walk you through the maze from listing to closing and beyond.”
