Navarre goes gold for childhood cancer awareness month

childhoodcancerribbon“As soon as the doctor told me, I was on the floor,” said Pamela Petrone, of the moment doctors told her that 4-year-old son Sean had Acute Lympoglastic leukemia (ALL), also known as blood cancer.

Nearly three years later, Sean is set to complete treatment in October.

“The most important message to send out about childhood cancer is one of hope,” said Doctor Evangeline Brown, who practices Pediatric Hematology Oncology at the Nemours Children’s Clinic in Pensacola.
