It’s the beginning of October, and the cooler temperatures of fall are in the air for most other places in the country. Pumpkin-spice flavors are back on the menu in coffee shops and neighbors are beginning to wipe the dust off of their creepiest Halloween decorations. In addition to statues of ghosts and goblins however, doctors’ offices and drug-stores in the community are beginning to put up decorations of their own. Most often, these decorations come in the form of large signs, saying “Flu Vaccines Available Here.” Flu season is approaching and prevention is key.
