Two men were allegedly caught in the act of robbing an RV in Navarre of thousands of dollars of property.
Matthew Aaron Crawford Lynch and Walter William Blakeman face charges related to an attempted robbery Tuesday morning.
According to the arrest report for Lynch, the victim returned home to discover the door of his RV at the 2800 block of Augustus Road had been pried open. He spotted Lynch, whom he
recognized, inside the RV carrying around the victims guitar case.
Upon realizing they had been caught, Lynch and Blakeman fled in a vehicle, and responding deputies pursued according to a sheriff’s office press release. They located the car on East Bay Blvd, where the suspects were observed bailing out of the car.
Lynch was immediately detained. Blakeman escaped into the woods wearing all camouflage, but was later detained by a police K-9. He was taken to the hospital and had not yet been booked into jail at this time.
Bags of the victims property collected by the door of the RV contained more than $4,000 of property including a Macbook. The damage to the door was estimated to cost $200.
Lynch is being held on $22,250 bond. He is charged with second degree misdemeanor damaged property, second degree felony burglary, two counts of third degree felony larceny grand theft and first degree misdemeanor drug equipment possession for a narcotics pipe allegedly found on his person.
