The man who led police on a high-speed chase and crashed his vehicle on East Bay Boulevard, Mark Anthony Tusa, has left the hospital where he was airlifted before deputies could arrest him.
On Nov. 2, Tusa was stopped by the Florida Highway Patrol for a traffic violation on Interstate 10 near Highway 87 South. He fled the traffic stop and was pursued by FHP. He was stopped again in Santa Rosa County but fled again after stealing a vehicle at the scene.
