When busloads of Holley Navarre Primary School students arrived at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station (NBMSS) on Thursday, they were greeted by one massive new friend.
Diana the humpback whale made her debut.
Diana is a life-size inflatable model that the science station will be using to teach lessons about marine mammals. Composed of plastic, tape, paint and hours of hard work, she was built by the science station’s students who dual enroll from Navarre High School.
NBMSS teacher Sarah Taylor said she and NBMSS Director Charlene Mauro are proud of what the students have done.
