School rivalry leads to criminal mischief

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for criminal mischief and graffiti to the facilities of both Gulf Breeze and Navarre High Schools.

According to a police report, an officer working an off-duty detail at Navarre High School on Oct. 29 located a number of spots that were spray painted including several areas of the building, two buses parked on the back access road, a storage shed, the band trailer and old U-haul .  The graffiti contained obscenities and the letters GBHS in yellow and blue paint.

This incident follows complaints by Gulf Breeze High School of obscenities spray painted on their building on Oct. 28.

In a statement released by SRSO Public Information Officer Rich Aloy, the crimes are currently under investigation and a reward of $1,000 is offered for anonymous tips leading to the identity of the suspects.

If anyone has any information they can anonymously call 850-437-STOP.  Crime Stoppers will only ask for information, not your name.
