In the wake of disclosure that Santa Rosa County government jobs for student workers aren’t advertised, Human Resources Director DeVann Cook told commissioners that practice has been stopped.
“We changed the policy,” he said in a commission meeting on Tuesday.
The absence of public notice by the county for such jobs was reported in the Navarre Press on July 9. Cook indicated that the policy change to require advertising for student jobs at the county had been changed since the article.
“We’ll be advertising those jobs,” Cook said.
