Boardwalk, proposed RV storage facility request variances

The county’s zoning board will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Santa Rosa County Administrative Complex in Milton.

Scott Christopher of Affinity Investments LLC is seeking a conditional use and variances for property at 2209 Highway 87 South. Christopher is requesting the conditional use to allow a boat and RV storage within Highway Commercial Development/Heart of Navarre and variances to eliminate an 8-foot privacy fence along the north and west property lines.

James Dabney of Navarre Marina and Boardwalk, LLC, is seeking variances for property at 8495 Navarre Parkway. Dabney is requesting to reduce the right of way landscape strip from 10 feet to 5 feet, allow shrubs in lieu of trees required within the parking area, and reduce the shoreline protection zone setback from 50 feet from the mean high water line to 0 feet from the mean high water line to allow a boardwalk with retail booths and kiosks.
