The pilot of a small engine aircraft died Nov. 24 in a crashed at Peter Prince Field in Milton.
According to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office press release, the pilot was the sole occupant of the plane. Deputies were dispatched to the crash site at approximately 10:15 a.m. and secured the scene.
The Federal Avaition Administration (FAA) is currently on scene conducting their investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is in route. The NTSB will assume lead in the investigation, according to the press release.
The identity of the pilot who died will not be released until next of kin are notified.
