Navarre pedestrian suffers serious injuries

Florida_Highway_Patrol_logo_(emblem)A 29-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries yesterday morning after being struck by a car on Highway 98 near Coral Street.

Nathan Holder, of Navarre, was hit by a Toyota Camry driven by 75-year-old Albert Nelso, also from Navarre just before 6:30 a.m.

Nelso was traveling eastbound in the outside lane of Highway 98 when the front of his vehicle hit Holder. According to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report, it is unknown if Holder was walking with the flow of traffic or was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of Highway 98.

No charged were filed in the accident. Holder was transported to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola for treatment. Read more in the March 27 issue of Navarre Press or subscribe online.
