A 57-year-old Navarre man is in critical condition after he lost control of his motorcycle at around 7:50 Wednesday night.
The man was traveling above the speed limit east on U.S. 98 near Sound Hammock Drive when he lost control of the motorcycle, according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol. The vehicle turned on its side and slid in the outbound eastbound lane where it stopped on the south shoulder facing east.
The driver, who FHP said was not wearing a helmet, was ejected sometime during the slide.
He was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
