Missing woman believed to be in danger

Police are searching for a 48-year-old Navarre woman whom they believe is in danger.


Lisa Jacobs Thornton

Lisa Jacobs Thornton was last seen by her family at around 11 p.m. Aug. 1. Family members said she left her cellphone, purse and other personal items at the home, including her medication.

According to a release, police believe she left her residence in a silver BMW which was located on the side of Interstate 10 near mile marker 38. There were no indications of foul play at the residence or the vehicle.

Police believe she left her home with a weapon. Thornton also has ties in South Florida.

Thornton is in need of her medication.

Thornton is described as a white female, 5-foot-6, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information related to Thornton is encouraged to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 850-983-1100.
