The Navarre Krewe of Jesters at their annual Mardi Gras Ball Feb. 15 paid special tribute to long-time Krewe member and parade organizer Wayne Hall.
Krewe President Charlene Tremor read from a plaque presented to Hall saying, “To the humble and dedicated Wayne Hall, who in spite of adversity, ill health and tons of frustration has still been able to provide the panhandle of Florida with the very best Mardi Gras parades for years and years and years. We are truly grateful for all you do, Wayne. We love you.”
Hall addressed the crowd. “I thank you. Yes, you are my family and it is my esteemed pleasure to be among this group of folks.”
The Navarre Krewe of Jesters Mardi Gras parade rolls on Navarre Beach at 1 p.m., Feb. 22. Hall said, “It’s going to be big, bad and fun.”
