Buck Lee, who has served as the executive director of the Santa Rosa Island Authority since April 2005, has resigned, effective Jan. 15, according to published reports.
Lee is responsible for implementing the plans and programs established by direction of the Santa Rosa Island Authority board and administering the daily support operations of the authority, according to its website. He is responsible for a staff of 35 permanent employees and approximately 40 seasonal employees during the busy spring and summer months on Pensacola Beach.
Bob West, the authority’s public safety director, also resigned, effective Sept. 30.
