Incorporation heads to Tallahassee

rodriguesResidents in a southwest Florida community are keeping their eyes focused on Tallahassee this legislative session as a bill being considered there would give them the opportunity to head to the polls and decide whether or not Estero should become Florida’s newest incorporated village.

State Representative Ray Rodrigues from Estero introduced the 85-page incorporation document March 3. It includes a proposed village charter, the legal description of the incorporated area and calls for residents within the area to vote on incorporating in the November 2014 general election.
