An Air Force officer stationed at Hurlburt Field died in a car accident in Texas Aug. 26, according to a press release from 1st Special Operations Wing public affairs.
Second Lt. Nicholas Taylor, a security forces officer with the 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron, was involved in the fatal accident around 5 p.m. Aug. 26, near Camp Bullis, Texas.
According to the press release, Taylor was pronounced dead at 5:39 p.m. by the attending physician at University Hospital of San Antonio, Texas.
Taylor was attending a Security Forces Officer training at Camp Bullis.
“When a tragedy like this occurs our entire AFSOC community is impacted by such a terrible loss,” said Col. Steven Breeze, vice commander of the 1st Special Operations Wing. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Lieutenant Taylor’s friends and family during this difficult time, and we are here to provide any comfort and assistance we are able.”
