Customers of Holley-Navarre Water System (HNWS) Jan. 20 will elect three representatives to the board which governs the organization and oversees operations Hidden Creek golf course.
Some locals are calling the election “crucial” to the future of the system because newly seated members will help make key decisions, including replacement of longtime general manager Ken Walker, who is set to retire in March after more than two decades at the helm of HNWS.
The board is also facing continued problems at The Club at Hidden Creek, following the October resignation of general manager Ty Bilbrey, a golf professional hired in July 2014 to replace former manager Dave Taylor, who was fired by the board last May.
Nine candidates qualified in December to run for the three open board slots: Troy Bossier, Gaius Bruce, James Calkins, Collette Collier, James Dabney, Bryan Duncan, Gerald Gallup, J.P. Roberts and Jim White.
