County to pay $1.4M in lawsuit

Santa Rosa County Commissioners quietly agreed March 9 to settle a lawsuit with Terhaar & Cronley, a Pensacola-based general contracting company with properties in Santa Rosa Industrial Park.

The board is expected to formally approve the agreement today, which will cost roughly $1.4 million.

Terhaar & Cronley filed a lawsuit in August 2010, suing the county and its former economic development agency, TEAM Santa Rosa, for breach of contract after it failed to construct a parking lot on county-owned land as planned.
