Santa Rosa County Commissioners on Monday will discuss a draft of the job announcement for a new county administrator. The draft calls for candidates to apply by July 31.
Hunter Walker, the county’s current administrator, in April announced he would be leaving at the end of 2015 the post he has held for about two decades. His current salary is $132,412, plus a $500 per month vehicle allowance.
The draft announcement states the ideal candidate will have strong managerial experience and “show high levels of performance” in finance and budget, human resources, economic development, and other areas.
DeVann Cook, Human Resources Director, said the county will likely solicit candidates through the National Association of Counties and Florida Association of Counties.
Other matters on the board’s agenda next week include a request to fund $35,000 for the 12th annual Beaches to Woodlands Tour contract, a grant for water main and fire protection improvements by Midway Water System in Barbarosa and New Hope neighborhoods
