The recent award of a Santa Rosa County contract for military affairs consulting to a company that had been administratively dissolved by the Florida Division of Corporations is being questioned by another bidder for that work.
Greystone Consulting in Pace, which had the part-time $33,500-a-year military liaison job, was awarded a new contract on April 20, even though it wasn’t currently registered on state records in Tallahassee at that time. The state dissolved the company in 2013.
Retired Air Force Col. Peter Gandy, the owner and operator of Greystone, told the Navarre Press on Monday that the state’s dissolution of his company, which was reinstated on July 7 by paying a registration fee, was due to an accounting oversight.
