City of Milton calls special meeting at Tiger Point – concerns over courthouse votes

City of Milton officials are concerned south end voters may not have all the information they need to make an informed decision about the proposed courthouse referendums on the Nov. 4 general election ballot — so they have called a special meeting for 6 p.m., Oct. 30 at Tiger Point Community Center, located at 1370 Tiger Point Lane in Gulf Breeze.

In addition to the mayor and city council, the city’s task force on the courthouse will also be in attendance. City Planner Randy Jorgensen says there are concerns voters have not been given all the information they need. Task force members have said  materials the county is distributing are “misleading” because some information about the current courthouse site is excluded.
