Santa Rosa County is expecting roughly $4.3 million in its first direct allotment of RESTORE funding resulting from the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Allocation decisions are being made, and some Tourism Development Council (TDC) members are concerned about possible conflicts of interest.
Before the April 3 submission deadline, the county received 56 project proposals, adding up to about $54.5 million. Of those, the county itself submitted 10 projects, which total nearly $5 million.
