The Navarre Beach pier operator has averted a debt default and takeover of its operations by Santa Rosa County, but Coastal Concessions nevertheless says sharing business responsibilities could help avoid a future financial crisis.
Commission Chairman Lane Lynchard agreed in an email to the Navarre Press that a “more equitable division of expenses could be required.”
Similarly, Coastal Concessions co-owner Scott Rayner suggested to a reporter that a possible division of pier operations into segments, with his company’s role reduced to handling only the facility’s restaurant and bar while the county steps in to run the admissions and share maintenance costs.
