As the country celebrates the 243rd anniversary of our founding fathers signing the Declaration of Independence, Navarre Beach will be featuring some special celebrations.
The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is presenting the second annual Hometown 4th of July Parade and Celebration on Navarre Beach co-hosted by the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office July 4 in the Navarre Beach Park.
The free event will kick-off with Picnic in the Park. Starting at 6 p.m. visitors to the beach will be able to purchase food from Navarre Chamber member food trucks dishing out all kind of street eats including barbeque, burgers and more.
Also kicking off at 6 p.m. will be the Children’s Parade. Babies, toddlers and children up to age 12 are invited to be part of the parade which completes a few short circuits around the parking area.
Parade Registration begins at 5 p.m. and is $5 per family. Pre-registration is not necessary. Children may dress up and use bicycles, wagons, strollers, small battery motorized play vehicles or walk, and they are encouraged to be creative.
At 7 p.m., the chamber’s free Thursday concert series Tunes by the Dunes will feature popular country musician Robert Wayne.
Event visitors are encouraged to grab a blanket or beach chair and be entertained by the family friendly show. Following Wayne’s wrap up at 9 p.m. the annual fireworks show will begin on the beach.
