Participants at this year’s Fight Like a Girl Fireman challenge had some serious reasons for fighting. Danielle Johnson, for example, was fighting for her 88-year-old grandmother who survived a mastectomy.
Without such serious motivation, Johnson might not have made it through a grueling course that required dragging a fire hose, spraying a cone, pounding a tire with a sledgehammer, performing lunges holding a firehose, rolling two fire hoses up, more walking lunges, dragging a 150-pound dummy and 50 CPR chest compressions.
