Fight the yellow flies: UF has tips to combat these aggressive biters

It’s summer in Florida, and that means itching welts on ankles, arms and toes.

As biting bugs descend in droves on backyards, perhaps one of the worst offenders are yellow flies.

Yellow fly is a term used to reference several species of aggressive, biting flies in Florida with yellowish bodies.
