Santa Rosa County Schools Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick has pre-filed for reelection in 2016. He has served in the position since he was first elected in 2008.

“Leading a school district requires an in-depth and thorough knowledge of how a school system works; I have that proven experience,” he said in a press release. “Our highest goal will be to provide a highly rigorous and technologically challenging K-12 curriculum that mirrors the needs of our business community in order to prepare our children for a successful future.”

Prior to being elected superintendent, Wyrosdick served in Santa Rosa County as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent for curriculum.

Recently, Wyrosdick and his leadership team launched a partnership with Discovery Education and local businesses to enhance the technology curriculum. In addition, over the past seven years he overseen the investment of nearly $15 million dollars into technology infrastructure.

“Developing a curriculum that integrates technology into everyday learning opportunities is a must for advancing the skills of our students and preparing them for the world of work,” he said.
