There are 52 career academies in Santa Rosa County Schools. Many of them focus on technical fields and career certifications, but the newest career academy at Navarre High School has a more human goal: create new teachers.
That is what motivated teacher Jennifer Watson to bring this academy to Navarre. Watson teaches the newly formed program.
“Here at Navarre High School we do have a lot of career and technical opportunities for our students, but most of them involve computers or construction,” she said.
