School lunch served with side of learning

When is the last time your child ate cauliflower, dates or even the dreaded broccoli?

Odds are if they attend public school in Santa Rosa County, they ate them with lunch today.

Sodexo, the company contracted by the Santa Rosa School Board to provide schools with meals, has launched a new program this school year designed to expand students culinary horizons.

The program is called A-Z Fresh Offerings. Each week of the school year from September to May is assigned a letter of the alphabet starting with A, B, C and so on.
