Navarre High School wins Beach Bowl food drive battle

The Beach Bowl rivalry extends beyond the football fields and into the hallways of both Navarre and Gulf Breeze High Schools. As tradition would have it, the football players compete on the fields and the students compete with a food collection drive that benefits Caring and Sharing of South Santa Rosa County.

Both schools had great participation, but in the end Navarre High School dominated collecting 9,447 food items. Gulf Breeze collected 1,534 items. But when all was said and done, Caring and Sharing was the ultimate winner, taking nearly 11,000 food items.
