Heather Owens figured the book of short stories she had her Woodlawn Beach Middle School students in the ACES (Academic and Creative Enrichment for Students) program write this year would double at the most.
“I figured it would be about twice the size of last year, maybe a little longer,” Owens said. “As we were putting the pages together, we were like ‘Oh my gosh.’”
The reaction to the size of the book was appropriate.
