Middle-school students will be returning to updated kitchens and cafeterias this August thanks to a roughly $1 million renovation at Holley-Navarre and Gulf Breeze middle schools.
The updates include new equipment, floors, ceilings, paint and LED lighting as well as an expansion of space.
Holley-Navarre Middle School Assistant Principal Robert Trigg said feeding the schools 800- plus students had become a struggle and the update was long overdue. Trigg will be retiring shortly after the project is completed.
