Homeschool offers freedom, family time

Florida has experienced a steady increase in the number of students enrolled in homeschool programs over the last decade. Navarre resident Laura Wright began homeschooling nearly five years ago.

“We started very traditional with little desks and a white board. It was very school-like because that was all I knew,” Wright said. “Now it’s really casual and we do school in the car, we do school on the couch. I’ve definitely learned to break out of the school mode.”
