On the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, the world changed forever. Pearl Harbor was bombed in a surprise attack by the Japanese, thrusting the United States into World War II. A total of 2,403 lives were lost in the attack.
The tragic moment in history happened long ago, but it’s not forgotten. Thursday morning at Navarre High School, the Navarre Navy Junior ROTC unit held a ceremony to remember the day President Franklin Roosevelt said will live in infamy.
