Hall’s Hedgehogs use newspaper in the classroom

Holley Navarre Primary School second-graders in teacher Kaytlyn Hall’s class, affectionately dubbed Hall’s Hedgehogs, used the Navarre Press to learn about text features and how to use them. This a Florida education standard. Using photos from the Sept. 12 story on Gulf Breeze Zoo’s Wild Shots contest winners, the students created informational posters about animals such as giraffes, deer and even silvery cheeked hornbills.

Hall is an educator participating in the Navarre Press Newspapers in Education program which provides classroom copies of the newspaper free of charge.
