Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced Tuesday the high school graduation rate in the state hit a 12-year high. The number in Santa Rosa County is even better.
Florida’s graduation rate for the 2014-15 school year was 77.8 percent, a significant improvement from where it was more than a decade ago when it stood at 59.2 percent for the 2003-04 school year.
In Santa Rosa County, the graduation rate was 83.2 percent last year, marking the seventh consecutive year the rate has gone up.
